        Information Overview
        Posted Jun 12, 2017

Harrisburg- Junction City Youth Football offers tackle football for players from Kindergarten through 6th grade in the Junction City, Monroe, Harrisburg, Cheshire and surrounding communities. The season runs from the middle of August through the middle of November. Each team gets to participate in a kick-off jamboree at the beginning of the season, and  bowl-games/championships at the end. On top of the regular and post season each team gets the opportunity to play a game inside Autzen Stadium in November!

All HBJC Coaches and Volunteers receive extensive training to ensure the safety and fun of our athletes, and most have held positions with the Jaguars for multiple seasons. Teams are formed by a strict grade/weight matrix, grouping players of like size and maturity together to form the best team atmosphere possible for the players. To avoid exhaustion and injury all players go through a skills training and conditioning period before being intruduced to full-gear/full contact football. HBJCYF does use MPRs (mandatory play rules) which means each player will have a minimum amount of plays on the field each game, regardless of position or skill level. HBJCYF is affiliated with USA Heads-Up football and all volunteers submit a background check and carry AAU insurance.

The HBJC league is made up strictly of volunteers from our community, with the best interests of our players in mind. Although the board of directors is relatively new and fresh they work hard to ensure that our league thrives and our kids get to continue to learn and grow their skills playing tackle football.
